Michael E. Rommel, VMD
After working as an associate veterinarian at animal hospitals in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, LaVale, Maryland and Pasadena, Maryland, Dr. Rommel was able to fulfill his dream of owning a practice in 2001. His professional focus is surgery and dentistry. Dr. Rommel lives with his wife Jennifer Rommel, DVM. They have two children, one granddaughter, one cat (Alma) and a standard poodle (Liza). In his spare time Dr. Rommel plays piano, keyboards and bass guitar for Kent Island Methodist Church.

Katherine M. Laning, DVM
Dr. Laning has been a long-time resident of Anne Arundel County and had practiced at other area hospitals before joining Millersville Animal Hospital in 2007.
Her professional interests include ultrasonography and internal medicine. Dr. Laning currently resides in Severna Park with her husband James, two teenagers, her two cats Dora and Cassie, and a guinea pig named Pickles. She is an active member of Bay Area Community Church.

Sierra M. Rubin, DVM
Dr. Rubin joined Millersville Animal Hospital in 2020 after graduating from Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been a resident of Anne Arundel County and enjoys getting to come back and serve the community she grew up in. Her veterinary interests include surgery and internal medicine. Dr. Rubin currently resides in Glen Burnie with her beagle mix named Brooklyn and when not working, enjoys live music and photography.

Melissa
After working as a vet tech in Glen Burnie for several years, Melissa joined our team in September of 2005. She can be found in all areas of the hospital. She, along with her husband Kevin, and daughter Rylee share their home with their dog Rafe and 3 rats; Abraxas, Azrael, and Anubis.
Rhiannon
Rhiannon joined our team in early spring of 2013 while interning for her certification class in Veterinary Assisting at Anne Arundel Community College. She has always had a great love for animals. She has had many pets through the years and currently has a greyhound, Mika, and two cats – Soup and Breadsticks.
Courtney
After working at The Pet Salon for 3 years Courtney joined our team in 2014. She is very much a mastiff person but can also be found fawning over the occasional chihuahua. Courtney currently has a Russian tortoise, Irwin (named after Steve Irwin), a curly hair tarantula named Doug, & she also has a small lake’s worth of fish and a jungle’s worth of plants she cares for. Her biggest liability is she wants to adopt too many dogs and cats that come through our doors.
Griffin
Griffin joined our team in 2020 after completing a veterinary assisting program at AACC. Griffin is a self-admitted cat person but is happy to give lots of love and attention to every furry friend who comes through our doors. When not working Griffin makes sure to spend plenty of time with his cat Clifford and his family dog Bosun.
Victoria
Victoria has joined our team in 2019. She can be found in different areas of the hospital, including surgery and drawing blood (her favorite). Her pet family currently includes her 3 cats (Ember, Arya, and Boo), and her Beauceron Valkyrie. When not working, you can find her training or doing multiple dog sports with Val, playing video games, or hanging out with her husband Austin.
Kim P.
Kim joined our team in May 2022 but has been working in veterinary medicine since 2020. She received her B.S. degree in biology from Stevenson University. She looks forward to working with animal friends everyday. Outside of work Kim enjoys reading, dancing and spending time with family.
Trinity
Trinity Joined our team in early 2023. While she loves every patient she’s met, she has a soft spot for all of our feline patients. In her free time Trinity likes to read and spend time with her family, Connor, her cats, and wild malinois Nyx!
Skylir
Skylir has been working in Veterinary medicine since 2022. She has worked in emergency medicine, urgent care, and general practice. Skylir Joined our team in 2024 and can be found loving on all patients in the hospital. In her free time she loves spending time with Husband and daughter. She also enjoys snuggling with her rowdy Blue heeler Briggs, her Dachshund mix Tonka, and her feisty cat hercules!
Aleigh
Aleigh is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and has been in veterinary medicine since 2014. She has worked in many different settings including general practice, emergency, and exotic & large animal surgical research. She graduated from UMBC in 2020 with a BS degree in Biology and Psychology. She has two Australian Shepherds (Milo & Rookie), two cats (Evelyn & Edna), and two guinea pigs. Along with dog photography, Aleigh has a passion for canine behavior and training, and she & Rookie compete in several canine sports together.
Ella
Ella joined our team in July of 2025! Ella is originally from Texas where she has been in veterinary medicine since 2021. She has worked in a mix of general practice and emergency medicine with both large and small animals. Outside of work, you will usually find Ella hanging out with her loving husband, Bradley- hanging out with her mini dachshund, Piper. She has a big heart for any pet that walks through the door and will definitely offer them a treat or a few.
